A New Me

New year’s eve celebration means marking the last day of the year‚ new year’s eve is one of the largest and most anticipated celebrations around the world. It is a holiday to welcome a brand-new year with your friends and families‚ a time to distress and unwind your mind from stress and workloads. Since this said celebration is just around the corner‚ it is never too early to start planning for the new things, some changes for the better, and some self-improvement.

“New Year, New Me” this phrase is usually heard when the year is near its end. This phrase would not literally mean changing yourself for the upcoming year but simply making yourself a better one, a better version of ourselves to be precise. Most people would try to have a healthier lifestyle and a fitter body, some may want to be more passionate about their dreams in life, others might start to get rid of the bad habits that they picked up over time. I, myself would really work on my mental health, this past year had really drained me mentally because of the lack of unwinding, the lack of family bonding because of the difficulty of traveling, and lastly, the lack of someone to talk to personally. I had a lot of thoughts that I do not get to share because I prefer telling it face to face but had no chance to. I will also work on my eating habits. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with a mild eating disorder. I would often puke what I eat and develop body dysmorphic disorder. Though I am starting to work on these issues of mine, I would still want to include it in my resolution so I would have more motivation and enthusiasm towards these things.

Setting a new year resolution is a great thing to do to renew ourselves year after year. The new year is a notable day, which ought to tell a significant day in our life. A day tells us to learn from our mistakes in the previous year and move forward with a better perspective and mindset.
